A panic attack is a sudden surge of overwhelming anxiety and fear. They can be terrifying events and those experiencing one for the first time may believe they are having a heart attack or will stop breathing and die.

They may come to fear that it will happen again if they revisit the place where they experienced the attack. Not understanding what a panic attack really is and how to manage it can have significant and unfortunate impacts on a person’s life. Meredith will help you understand panic attacks and what to do about them.
